If you missed the parent meeting here is some of what was presented:

As you go through the year please remember the organization is entirely volunteer based and we know we aren’t perfect but every person in the organization works extremely hard volunteering their time.

 Few things about the program:

        • We are looking to teach the kids the game of football and prepare them for high school football
        • We look to provide an outlet where kids can learn some incredible lessons in a team environment
        • We are looking to promote sportsmanship
        • We are looking to help them learn responsibility
        • We are looking to have the young men be good role models and wear the jersey’s proudly
      • Football is a contact sport and injuries do happen – learn about being an athlete
      • Playing time is NOT guaranteed (communication is the key here)
      • Parents – feel free to watch but stay on the side and let the coaches do their job.  Too often parents coming into the practice field to talk to coaches or their kids during practice.  Not allowed.  If you need to speak to the coaches do so after their practice has completed and they have completed their team meeting.
      • Parents – also after games.  Always best to talk to the coach the next day versus right after a game.  Emotions are always running high and calmer heads will prevail if we follow the 24 hour rule.  Obviously if it is an emergency that is different but good rule to follow – give it 24 hours.
    • To finish up the first portion of the program just some important items:
    • Volunteers – again we need your help – please sign up – (concessions, working the down markers, announcers, etc.).  Especially looking for one Badger and one Wolverine parent to be concessions coordinators for the organization.  Please see Linda Pfaller in interested – would greatly appreciate the assistance.
    • Health problems – really important to let coaches know before season and throughout the season
    • Raffle tickets – once you receive at equipment pick up it is important to get out and sell – helps keep your cost down – payment for those due at that time (checks only – made payable to West Allis Youth Football)
    • Questions: (throughout the year please don’t hesitate to contact me but you should first go to the head coaches as they have direct information about situations.  If still not satisfied then contact me) – contact information can be found at our website www.westallisyouthfootball.com
